Coaches
Coach Segrest has coached with Northside since graduating college at Texas A&M in 2011. At first he coached for AAAA with veteran coach Kurt Swanson before being hired at Holmes HS in the Fall of 2013. He coached at Holmes for eight years before moving to Clark HS in 2021, he was head water polo and head swim coach at both schools.
Upon hiring Coach Gomez, Coach Segrest kept the role of Head Water Polo Coach and passed on the role of Head Swim Coach to Coach Gomez. He continues to work at Clark HS as the assistant swim coach in support of Coach Gomez.
Coach Segrest is also currently running the summer league swim team at the Woods of Shavanno each summer to help encourage young swimmers to continue in the sport.
Coach Segrest has been married to wife Samantha since 2015 and the couple has two boys, Thomas born in 2020 and Bennett born in 2023.
Coach Gomez has been a member of the Clark High School coaching staff since 2024. Originally from Mexico, she moved to San Antonio to attend college and competed as a swimmer for the University of the Incarnate Word. After graduating, she began her coaching career and now serves as a coach for the swim team and supports the water polo program during its season.
Coach Goe brings over 20 years of coaching experience across every level of the sport, from middle school and high school programs to elite year-round clubs and NCAA Division I universities, including the University of Richmond, Brown, and Western Kentucky.
Beyond his extensive background in collegiate athletics, Coach Goe has a proven track record of developing top-tier talent at the club level. Through his work with COM Aquatics and Entelechy Dive Academy, he has guided 11 divers to the AAU National Championships, including mentoring a four-time AAU National Champion.
Coach Goe earned his Bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and his Master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. His depth of knowledge, passion for the sport, and dedication to helping athletes reach their full potential make him a fantastic addition to our community.
