Welcome 2025!
Winter training provided athletes with an excellent opportunity to stay focused and prepare for the District Championship. During these challenging weeks, the Cougars competed in a New Year's Eve Dual Meet against Brennan. The Cougars Swim Team emerged victorious with a combined score of 246 to 241. The women's team secured a strong win, 134-102, helping to offset the men's score of 112-139. Top individual point scorers included Lilly Dreher, Olivia Salazar, and Carlos Baez. However, it was the collective efforts and contributions of all team members that led to this outstanding achievement.
During the meet, Sofia Mercado and Megan Webb demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm and team spirit, cheering on every teammate and boosting morale.
To welcome 2025, the Cougars faced off against O'Connor in another exciting competition. It was a close meet and a hard-fought battle. While the girls' team claimed victory, the combined score fell just short of securing an overall win. Nevertheless, Clark athletes displayed enthusiasm and determination in every race. Ellison and Parker Mandacina stood out as top point scorers, while Lexi Hsieh delivered an outstanding performance, significantly contributing to the team's success.
The highlight of starting 2025 was the conclusion of the meet with a mixed 4x50yrds freestyle relay. The adrenaline and cheers that filled the pool made for an unforgettable way to celebrate the New Year.
